Although SMT technology is popularly used, some boards still require through-hole pins. PDS provides one more option to our customers by using our selective wave soldering machine.
Selective Soldering is a process to solder through hole components on a PCB using a solder fountain. The machine includes a flux spray, preheater and a soldering pot that feeds a solder fountain. The solder head moves to the point where solder needs to be applied, and leaves the rest of the boards unsoldered. It allows manufacturers to assemble circuit boards with through-hole components without need of hand soldering.
